The mission of the fine folks at Krugo is to get people excited about the things that they love doing and help them find more of it wherever they go. With the lack of events and lull in entertainment in their community due to COVID-19, they could do something to bring their people together and create a unique experience for all in Saskatchewan.
They organized a one-of-a-kind summer rooftop concert series with attendees watching safely from socially-distanced hotel room balconies in Regina. Over two August weekends, four concerts with Juno award-winning Canadian recording artists such as Jess Moskaluke, Corb Lund and The Sheepdogs were enjoyed from the DoubleTree Hotel. To top up this innovative musical gathering, local caterers delivered meals to festival-goers..
Over 1,500+ physically-distanced attendees safely enjoyed this once-in-a-lifetime event, generating over $200,000 for 10 local businesses that were amongst the hardest hit by the pandemic.
The KrugoFest team cannot thank enough the 70 Canadians who generously volunteered over 200 hours to make this event possible.
