Our commitment to accessibility
Accessibility is central to our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
We work to identify and remove barriers so people with disabilities can participate fully in our workplace, programs and services.
At Destination Canada, accessibility means:
- identifying and removing barriers in how we hire, manage and support employees
- ensuring our offices, events and digital platforms are accessible and usable by people with different abilities and access needs
- providing workplace accommodations and adjustments so employees can participate fully in their work
- improving how we design, deliver and communicate our programs and services
Accessibility is an ongoing practice—not a one-time project. We continue to learn from people with disabilities and use that feedback to strengthen our policies, tools and training. Our goal is to create an organization that is more accessible every year.
Accessibility Plans and Progress Reports
Under the Accessible Canada Act, Destination Canada develops and publishes multi-year accessibility plans and annual progress reports.
These plans are informed by consultation with people with disabilities, including employees and external stakeholders.
These documents outline:
- the barriers we have identified
- the actions we are taking to remove and prevent barriers
- the progress we have made.
