Snowshoe in the park
Strap on a pair of snowshoes and enjoy winter hiking across the Island at hot spots like Brookvale Provincial Park, Victoria Park and PEI National Park. Sip a local brew
Cozy up indoors and meet some of the islanders making their own craft beers at one of PEI's six craft breweries. Go behind the scenes and show up for a brewery tour at PEI Brewing Company, then head over to Copper Bottom Brewing and meet the husband and wife team who are sharing their passion for craft beer and music together. Dive into a bowl of freshly steamed PEI mussels at Upstreet Craft Brewing which pairs perfectly with any one of their seasonal winter ales.
Stroll along the beach
This island province is home to over 90 beaches and over 1,100 kilometres of coastline that are just begging to be explored. The best part about beach going in the wintertime is that you’ll have the views all to yourself. See PEI’s famous red sand beaches or visit the Singing Sands beach in Basin Head Provincial Park and listen for the “squeak” as you walk along the ultra fine sand. Just skip on the bathing suit and swimming until the weather warms up.
Savour the cuisine
No trip would be complete without experiencing the fresh seafood and food culture that earned PEI the title of "Canada's Food Island." For fresh island seafood don't miss Claddagh Oyster House, consistently ranked one of the best restaurants on the Island on Tripadvisor.
